Family Legacy Event (Client and Family Event)

We invite our clients to join us for a Family Legacy event every year close to Thanksgiving. This time of year many people will spend more time with their close friends and family. We would love for this event to become an occasion (or an excuse!) for friends and family to come together for an enjoyable evening. The theme of this years Family Legacy Event is based on the movie “The Ultimate Gift” (James Garner, Drew Fuller).

Legacy Events focus on coming up with ideas for the things you want to leave your family and loved ones that cannot be written into any legal documents. Your wealth is much greater than the tangible things you own. We love events like these to help our clients intentionally pass on this other type of “wealth”. This can be knowledge, insights, stories, and much more. There is no limit to expressing the essence of who you are for your loved ones to enjoy and benefit from in the future.

Back to Basics (client event)

WHAT IS BACK TO BASICS, AND HOW WILL IT HELP ME PARTICIPATE IN THE CLIENT UPDATE PROGRAM?

Think of Back to Basics as a refresher course for estate planning.  Most of our EPFL members who are eligible for the Client Update Program this year have not needed to review their documents since 2016, when they were either designing their estate plans, or were participating in the Client Update Program that year.   At the Back to Basics event we will refresh your memory on what you learned during the design or latest review of your estate plan.   If you have not completed and returned the Estate Planning Review Worksheet before the Back to Basics event, we encourage you to bring it to the event with you, along with any questions you have.  Many clients have brought their worksheets to this event in the past and where able to complete and return them to us at the end of the meeting.

Pro Active Elder Law Program Overview

This presentation is an overview of our new Estate Planners for Life™ PRO Active Elder Law Program™. To help us kick off this program, we will have Mr. Jeff Villio, President & CEO of PURVIEW LIFE, Oklahoma City Office and Kristin O’Neal, RN, CCM, Aging Life Care Professional as guest presenters. Jeff and Kristin will be explaining the concept of Quality Life Management and the services PURVIEW LIFE provides. They will explain how you do not have to face caring for aging parents, a spouse, or a disabled family member alone. For years, those dealing with an aging parent, spouse, or special need loved one have been forced to navigate a health care services system that does not address the whole person. Like a series of band-aids the system has focused on individual problems, with no one to oversee or manage the entire process for you and your loved ones. PURVIEW LIFE stepped in to fill that void!

For those individuals who enroll in our PRO Active Elder Law Program™, Jeff has graciously agreed to waive the customary initial fee for our participants and for a limited time offer a PURVIEW LIFE Introductory Assessment at no additional charge. You are invited to come learn more about our new program and this wonderful opportunity for members of our client family. Please call and reserve your spots for this program as soon as possible, as we anticipate this will be a popular presentation.

Family Education Program: Illness and Disability Planning

Education is a top priority at Cain & Cain. We enjoy helping our clients make informed decisions about their estate plans, as well as providing important education to their “Helpers” who have been named in any kind of “role” in their estate plans.

This event is open to anyone who would like to be more informed about estate planning.  Please contact us to register!

Illness and Disability Planning is an important but often under-emphasized part of a well designed estate plan.  We would like to provide you and your “helpers” a focused look at how estate plans are designed to work for you and your loved ones in the event of an illness or disability.

Topics Include:

· What is Disability Planning, and how does it work?

· Why would a person need Disability Planning?

· What are the different ways and options to design a Disability Plan?

· What you should expect if you have a designated role in someone else’s Disability Plan.
